Girls Who Code

Girls Who Code is a free, weekly after school program for girls in grades 6-12, designed to teach girls the concepts of programming in a safe and supportive environment of peers and role models. Weekly attendance is important.  The library's Girls Who Code club will meet every Tuesday from September 10th through November 26th from 5:00 - 6:30 PM. Space is limited.  Computers will be available for the participants to share, however they can bring their own laptop if they wish.  Sign-up starts on Tuesday, August 13th and can be done at the Teen Services Desk, by phone at 201-529-7323 x 224, or at  *Participants will be signed up for all 12 classes.

Girls Who Code is a non-profit international organization with the goal of closing the gender gap for women in technology careers.  Girls will gain an understanding of what it is to be an engineer, and how to plan, design and build a project as a team that they invent and are passionate about.  Find out more about the organization at: Girls Who Code.
