Always wanted to learn how to knit?  Join us as we learn all the basics - casting on, the knit and purl stitches, and binding off - and then start using your skills to make a real project such as a headband, bracelet or stuffed animal.   Miss Arlene has been teaching knitting for over 15 years, and will inspire you with all the different items you can create with a simple pair of knitting needles and some yarn.   If we get lucky, she might even bring in a spinning wheel and show us how yarn is made!  The 4-week class will meet every Wednesday in February from 3:30 - 5:00 PM.  Class size is limited.  Knitting needles and practice yarn will be provided by the library. Registration starts on Wednesday, January 8th and can be done at the Teen Services Desk, by phone at 201-529-7323 x 224, or at  Participants will be registered for all four classes.
