Strike a Pose! Kids' Yoga with Ms. Debbie

Stretch your body and your imagination with registered children’s yoga instructor Ms. Debbie (RYT, RCYT). We’ll have fun with basic yoga poses that create a story we will read. Simple breathing techniques and guided visualizations are also taught. Yoga is a great way to bring calm and focus into your child’s life through movement and breath. Parents are welcome to join in. Please wear comfortable clothing and bring water. Yoga mats provided or you can bring your own.

Join Joan Tarrant for an hour long gentle yoga. Bring your mat, blanket, blocks, tissues, water and comfortable clothes. This is a great opportunity to stretch, breathe, move, and relax together doing gentle yoga poses, then partake in a deep relaxation with Tibetan Singing Bowls during the meditation. Get an introduction to the world of loose-leaf tea; from tea plant to teacup with tea enthusiast Nina Androski. Learn the history of tea, the 5 main types of teas, how to brew the perfect cup and the wellness benefits of drinking tea. Nina Androski is a Brand Ambassador for Tealightful Tea. She started studying and learning about loose-leaf tea in 2006 and completed an 8-week online tea certification course from Tealightful. This program is both in person in the library and live streaming via Zoom. Chopped Junior is presented by Melissa Dawson, ShopRite of Ramsey’s In-Store Retail Registered Dietitian. Teens in grades 5 and up will have the chance to work in teams and compete. Each group will be given a bag full of ingredients along with 1-2 mystery items that they must include in their dish! All ingredients will be allergen friendly but please let the Teen Section staff know of allergies beforehand (just in case).
