Computers & Technology
Due to the current pandemic, public computer sessions are strictly limited to 30 minutes per patron; we cannot grant extensions at this time.
For your safety, keyboards and mice are wiped down with disinfectant wipes after every use.
Public PCs
The Library has 26 computers for public use, including 12 in the Adult section, 8 in the Children room, and 8 in the Inbetween. All are equipped with Windows 10, Microsoft Office 2016 and Google Chrome for Internet access.
Patrons may use public computers only with their own library card from any BCCLS library. Guest passes are available for patrons without BCCLS library cards and are available at public service desks. If all the workstations are full, patrons may request to be placed on a waiting list at at public service desk.

Use of public computers is governed by the Library’s Computer & Internet Use Policy.
Printing

Print from any of our 26 workstations directly to our high-speed color copiers.
Printouts are $0.15 per page for black & white, and $0.25 per page for color.
Scanning
Anyone can use our Scannx ScanCenter Elite scanner for free. Use the document feeder to scan multi-page documents, or the large flatbed scanner to scan books, photos or large documents.
Scanned files can be sent to email, USB, Cloud Services like Google Drive, or to a smartphone with a variety of formats like PDF, Word Doc, JPEG.

High Speed Wireless Access

Free Wireless Internet (Wifi) access is available throughout the Library to anyone who has a wireless device via an open, unsecured network.
Wireless Internet access in the library is governed by the Library’s Computer & Internet Use Policy.
Wireless Printing
The library provides a printing solution for wireless devices using PrinterOn.
PrinterOn can be accessed through a web page for standard computers, via email by any email-capable device, or via apps created specifically for Apple and Android devices. You can even use it from home if your personal printer is having a bad day.
From email, compose or forward an email to mpl-ridgeroad-bw@printspots.com (black and white prints) or mpl-ridgeroad-color@printspots.com (color prints) and attach the document or image to the email. Alternatively you can paste text into the body of the email to have it printed.
From a browser, navigate to our PrinterOn portal.

Photocopiers

The library has two high-speed color photocopiers for public use.
Black & white copies are $0.15 per page and color copies are $0.25 per page for either letter sized (8.5”x 11”) or legal size (8.5” x 14”) copies.
